The Great Artist Program’s Animals Around the World includes step-by-step drawing and coloring guides to help young artists lean into creativity. They’ll explore artistic skills and concepts, such as color, shape, composition, symmetry, texture, and color blending, among others. Animals Around the World encourages young students to embark on their journey towards becoming great artists and provides them with the resources needed to develop confidence.

Let’s Learn
1 Video Slideshow
Welcome to Animals of the World! Let’s start by learning about each animal around the globe. From the brave lions to beautiful butterflies, kindergarten students will watch a simple slideshow with a voiceover to learn about the life, habitat, and what makes each animal special.
Let’s Draw
1 Video
Next, students will follow a step-by-step guided drawing video with Laurie (GAP’s founder). They’ll learn about concepts such as symmetry, lines, composition, and more. These short videos are engaging and fun for kindergarten students, helping them grow in confidence and artistry.
Let’s Color
1 Video
Now it’s time to color in the animals from around the world! Students learn essential skills and concepts, including line, color, shape, composition, balance, symmetry, pattern, texture, overlapping, color blending, and color washes. They’ll also be introduced to simple art materials to start their journey as great artists.
